Although not an active Runner in recent years, Zary is a well known Event Director. His passion for Sports Management started with the successful Barbados Open Water Festival launched in July 2013. Following the success of this Swimming Festival which is the biggest in the Caribbean a passion to develop Sports Tourism in Barbados has led him to take the learning’s and experience promoting the Barbados Open Water Festival and apply it to Running and the success of the Run Barbados Marathon Weekend Series since June 2015.
Further expansion into Sports Management in Barbados will see involvement in other Sporting Organizations, assisting them to develop and promote their events worldwide.
Also look out for the new 'Beach Water Polo Masters' Tournament coming off in May 2018.
With over 26 years experience as an Entrepreneur in Barbados, Zary & his wife also operate three restaurants in Barbados.

Kristina was an active recreational runner in her younger years and participated in numerous 10km races in Barbados and Canada. Her best showing was a second place in the Run Barbados 10K in 1989.
Kristina has been a lifelong sports enthusiast and transitioned into Sports Management in 2013 after a career in Engineering and Real Estate Advisory.
She first represented Barbados in tennis on the international stage, at the age of ten and her sports resume includes: wins in multiple local & regional championships, numerous gold Medals at the regional CARIFTA level, National Champion in Tennis and Squash, representative to the Central American & Caribbean Games and the Commonwealth Games in squash, three-time Caribbean Over 40 Squash, Champion, Past President of the Barbados Squash Association and Organizer for the 2003 Caribbean Area Squash Championships.
As Co-Director of the Barbados Open Water Festival since 2013 and an Organiser of Run Barbados Marathon Weekend Series since 2015 her focus has been on the global promotion of these Sports Tourism projects, as well as the various aspects of planning and executing an international sports event.

Peter is a well-known swim athlete, having been involved in Water Polo, Triathlons and Masters Swimming for many years. Peter represented Barbados at Water polo from 1964-1998, attending the CAC Games, and Pan American Games on several occasions as well as participating in numerous local and regional competitions. He has captained the University of Guelph and Barbados Water Polo teams. Peter has participated in Masters Swimming and Triathlon since the 1980’s, and has represented Barbados at the Master’s World Triathlon championships in 1992, 1998 and 2002. He has represented Barbados in Masters Swimming at the World Championships, USA and Canadian Masters Championships. This all round athlete has taken part in at least four “Run Barbados” Marathons and many 10km running races. Peter’s most impressive achievement to date is his swim across Lake Ontario in August 2004, in a time of 18 hours and 40 minutes. He became the only person from the Caribbean to complete this task.
Peter is currently the President of the Barbados Federation of Island Tri-athletes (BFIT). Peter will bring his tremendous knowledge of swimming and triathlon competition to Run Barbados Marathon Weekend in the form of technical planning of the route and a multitude of other details that will allow for a safe and enjoyable weekend.
